 Dr. Sami A. Ghannam

Dr. Sami Ghannam is the primary owner and optometrist of the I Care Doctor, PC family practices. Dr. Ghannam is committed to excellence in patient care and dedicated to providing comprehensive services.  He was recently featured in a 8-page article in the Washingtonian Magazine for his role his saving a young patient's vision. http://www.washingtonian.com/print/articles/6/173/7740.html

Dr. Ghannam graduated from honors from the University of Maryland at College Park. Upon completion of his undergraduate education, Dr. Ghannam attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA where he successfully obtained his Optometric Doctor degree.

He completed his clinical rotations at both the Wilmer Eye Institute of John Hopkins University and the Baltimore Veteran Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Sami Ghannam has participated in an international medical delegations with the Lions Club to deliver quality care to underserved countries. Dr. Ghannam has also served as an on-call practitioner and consultant to over 10 assisted living and nursing facilitaties in the tri-state area. 

Dr. Sami Ghannam is happily married with three kids. He enjoys football, golf, skiing, and cross training.

Dr. William B. Hutcheson, O.D.

Dr. Hutcheson was an Honor Society graduate of the New England College of Optometry in 1980 after rotations at the Walter Reed and Rutland Hospital eye clinics and at the Boston Contact Lens Clinic.  At graduation he was honored with the college's "Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Practice." 

Upon moving to Northern Virginia, he gained experience as an associate at several of the area's most respected private optometric practices.  In 1981, Dr. Hutcheson began his private practice. He has participated in a number of clinical studies involving contact lenses, and have published articles in several professional journals.  Professional education has to be ongoing and keeping on top of a field that is changing as rapidly as eyecare requires a commitment that I have embraced wholeheartedly.  Continuing Education is a cornerstone of our practice. 

Dr. Hutcheson is also a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, the Southern Council of Optometry, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society.
